Richmond Community Works (RCW) offers a wide range of exciting musical performances and artistic exhibitions. From Balinese and Balkan to Brazilian and Arabic music, RCW’s concerts are sure to please. The Alameda Civic Ballet is proud to be fostering the next generation of young ballet dancers in the East Bay. Abra Rudisill, Artistic Director of the Alameda Civic Ballet and the Alameda Ballet Academy, has over 20 years of experience as a Prima Ballerina and Ballet Mistress. Her experience in the classical ballet tradition has been invaluable in her role of providing quality ballet education to the youth of the East Bay. Founded in 2003, the Academy and company strive to bring the best elements of ballet to their students while also providing young dancers the opportunity to gain valuable experience performing alongside professional dancers, thus creating a bridge between professional dance and the community.

Yuki-sensei is the founder and owner of this unique space in Alameda. After 16 years in the corporate world as an accountant, Yuki had a dream of creating a nurturing environment for children and families. She followed her passion and earned an AA in Childhood Education from American River College in Sacramento. Yuki has also taught Japanese at Port Sacrament Japanese School and various private schools in the Bay Area. Originally from Japan, Yuki calls Alameda home where she lives with her husband and two children (16 and 12 years old). She opened Blue Moon in November 2013 to bring her vision to life and has been providing a safe and enriching environment for children and families ever since. In 1992, Miss Michaela Lynch had a vision for a dance school that would bring together students of all ages and abilities. That dream became a reality with the introduction of the Dance Arts Project at Harbor Bay Club in Alameda. With 50 eager and enthusiastic dancers, the school was off to a great start. The success of the Dance Arts Project didn't go unnoticed. In July 1993, the school opened its grand doors on Chestnut Street, where it continues to offer classes in ballet, children's creative movement, modern dance and ballroom dance. Today, Dance Arts Project is proud to have served generations of students, and we are looking forward to many more years of bringing joy to the Bay Area through dance.
