At Studio 1.6*, we believe in the power of art to enhance learning and personal growth. Our classes, private lessons, and special programs are designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. With personalized attention from a professional artist, our curriculum is tailored to each student’s interests and goals in order to maximize learning. In a creative environment, our skill-based instruction is rooted in historically-proven training methods. We serve beginners to advanced students of all ages, including homeschooled children. We provide a wide range of classes and special programs that are both fun and educational. Our art classes include drawing, painting, and sculpture, as well as art camps, workshops, life drawing sessions, open studio time, and portfolio preparation. Art history is also an important part of our curriculum. Students have the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their skills in a safe and supportive environment. At Studio 1.6*, we have a passion for art and the belief that it can be used to promote learning and personal growth. Our classes are held in an active artist’s studio, and our skilled instructors provide personalized attention and guidance. Drawing & Sketching Class

In this class, students will learn realistic drawing and observational skills using pencils, charcoal, soft pastels and ink. We will cover the study of line, linear perspective, light and shade, form and proportion and much more, including portraiture, figure drawing, and still life projects. Monday 6:30 - 7:30 pm "Drawing & Sketching" (Ages 8- 13) Saturday 11:45 am - 12:45 pm "Drawing & Sketching" (Ages 8 - 13)

Studio Art Class (Drawing, painting & sculpture)

This class is designed for students who like to experiment with various fine art disciplines as well as for those who already took art classes and are looking for a class with more academic value. Drawing, painting, and sculpture are being taught through fun and engaging projects, emphasizing art technique and exploring a variety of art materials. Monday 5:15 - 6:15 pm (Ages 5 - 8) Saturday: 1:00 - 2:00 pm (Ages 6 - 13)

Art Camps & Summer Intensive

We offer school break art camps and summer intensives. Each session features a different artistic theme, providing an intensive learning experience. Our curriculum is based on Studio Art techniques and activities in three areas of visual arts: Drawing, Painting and, Sculpture. Suitable for all levels. Differentiated instruction is provided. TBA
