With his feathery hat firmly perched on his head and his beady eyes twinkling with mischief, he guides these young sea-farers through the waves and winds of the colossal blue. These California kids, you see, are fearless. They relish the salty spritz of the ocean against their sun-warmed skin and the wind ruffling their hair into wild, sea-inspired hairstyles. Their laughter echoes across the water, punctuated by Captain Cackle's own signature caw. Each morning, they clamber aboard their multi-coloured sailboats, hoist their sails, and let the wind guide their adventures. They navigate the waves like seasoned sailors, despite their tender years, with a pinch of courage and a bucketful of laughter. They not only learn to sail but also discover the bond of friendship, the thrill of adventure, and the joy of sea-salted chips - a must-have sailing snack, according to Captain Cackle. Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. In addition to robotics, our educational offerings span across various STEM sectors such as coding, eSports, engineering, science and more. We're delighted to be connected with several of the most prominent STEM competition organizations. Our primary learning center is nestled in the heart of Naperville, IL. However, we understand the importance of accessibility and have therefore expanded our reach. We offer our well-rounded programs at a range of locations including schools, community centers, park districts, libraries, and even religious institutions. We are committed to making our educational opportunities available to as many children as possible, regardless of their location. At the US Engineering League, we're not just about teaching; we're about inspiring. The Alameda Community Sailing Center provides a unique opportunity for volunteers from all walks of life to come together and share their passion for sailing. Our instructors are dedicated to teaching and caring for our students, helping them to develop their skills and love of the open water. We also place a strong emphasis on creating a supportive community environment, promoting inclusiveness, respecting the environment, and providing adventure. All while having a lot of fun!
