At Aquatech Swim School, we offer swimming lessons for children and open swim for families in the East Bay Area. An interactive lesson designed for babies and toddlers to participate in the pool together with their parents and/or caregivers. Lessons include skill-building drills, songs, and props that are designed to help build each child’s cognitive and physical development in the water. Lessons teach children how to achieve comfort and safety in, around, and under the water. The student-to-teacher ratio of this level is 6 students to 1 instructor and is 30 minutes in length.

BeAKid
STARFISH (Ages 3+ years)
The Starfish level is designed for the nervous or fearful student who is not comfortable independently submerging their head under the water. Instructors gently work with these swimmers to instill comfort and confidence in the water. While coaxing students towards full submersions; back floats, independent kicking, and breath control will be taught. Lessons have a 3-student to 1 teacher ratio and are 30 minutes in length. Graduates of this level move up to the Seahorse Level.

BeAKid
SILVERFISH/ GOLDFISH
This is one level with 2 progressive stages, Silverfish to Goldfish. The level is designed for children who have a solid comfort level in the water, can kick properly and float independently. The focus of the level is breathing technique development. The techniques learned will be used for both survival swimming, recreational swimming and will later translate into the proper breathing structure for formal strokes. Lessons have a 4 student to 1 teacher ratio and are 30 minutes in length. Graduates of the Silverfish Level move up to Goldfish Level and graduates of the Goldfish Level move up to the Puffer Level.
