The school is committed to providing equitable access to all their programs, with the majority of their students being African American or Latino, and half of them receiving some form of financial assistance. At Harlem School of the Arts, students are exposed to a wide range of artistic disciplines, with world-class instructors and master teachers to guide them. This interdisciplinary education has been offered for over half a century, with 5,000 students currently enrolled. HSA is dedicated to providing equitable access to their programs, with over 85% of the student body being African American or Latino, and roughly half of them receiving financial assistance. They also strive to cultivate a strong sense of community, reflecting the diverse and rich history of Harlem.
