At Camp Tawonga, we believe in teaching reverence for the earth and its systems while also fostering an awareness of the social systems to which we all belong. Our campers learn how to make a difference both as individuals and as part of a team. They gain an understanding of our local eco-systems, food system, outdoor survival skills, and conflict resolution. As they learn, their self-confidence and appreciation for the interconnectedness of all of creation grows.
In addition, Camp Tawonga is a multi-generational Jewish community. We encourage our campers to develop leadership skills through caring for the animals, farm, and communal spaces. We also recognize the value of mentorship and the wisdom that comes with every age.
