Once upon a time, in the great, bustling state of New York, there was a peculiar, charming character known as Twisty Tippy-Toes. Twisty, who was as tall as a skyscraper and as thin as a broomstick, had a passion for one thing and one thing only: dancing! He had a knack to magically appear at any place where kids indulged in this artful expression of joy. His twinkling eyes, floppy hat, and shoes that sparkled brighter than the Times Square billboard were a sight to behold, especially when he started to dance.

The kids of New York weren't just ordinary kids. Oh no, they were spectacular dancers in their own right. From the spacious parks of Upstate to the buzzing streets of the Big Apple, every corner of this state echoed with the rhythmic tap-tap-tap of dancing shoes. These children could spin faster than the whirlwind, leap higher than the Hudson River's waves, and move with more grace than the swans of Central Park.

Twisty Tippy-Toes loved this state, for every day was a new dance adventure. He would tip-toe around NY, joining dance-offs at Brooklyn's block parties, or pirouetting with ballerinas in Manhattan. The children looked forward to Twisty's unpredictable visits, their eyes sparkling with excitement, for they knew that where Twisty was, laughter, fun, and fantastic dance moves followed. 

And so, in the land of towering skyscrapers and twinkling stars, Twisty Tippy-Toes and the talented NY kids danced their days away, sharing stories, laughter, and a whole lot of funky moves, making the Empire State the happiest, most dance-loving place to be!

What began in a humble New York City apartment with just a single student, Spark, has since blossomed into an enriching program impacting thousands of children. Our unique educational approach combines the elements of art, yoga, meditation, and nature to create a holistic learning environment. This distinctive blend is what sets Spark apart, allowing us to reach and inspire a multitude of children in truly meaningful ways.

With an array of offerings to accommodate various schedules and needs, Spark has something for everyone. Our services extend beyond the standard after school and weekend classes to include holiday and summer camps, birthday parties, portfolio preparation, private classes, and custom pods. We also welcome homeschool groups and are thrilled to announce the recent addition of a forest school program to our repertoire.

You can find Spark on-site in various schools and at our main studio located in the Upper West Side. But we're not stopping there - we're also planning to expand to the Upper East Side and Brooklyn. For our families in Pennsylvania, we run the program from our family studio there. And if you're not in close proximity to any of our locations, don't worry. We offer in-home instruction and virtual options to ensure that Spark can reach you, no matter where you are. Sky Lake is one of five camp and retreat centers owned and operated by the Upper New York Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. This camp and retreat center is part of the Camp & Retreat Ministries. It is supervised by The Executive Director of Camp & Retreat Ministries and overseen by the Committee on Camp & Retreat Ministries. At Sky Lake, visitors are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God, be the body of Christ within the world, and live in accordance with the example of Jesus Christ. 

Sky Lake provides a unique and meaningful experience for visitors, providing them with engaging, equipping and empowering activities. Through these activities, visitors are encouraged to build relationships with their neighbors, especially those who have been disenfranchised by mainstream society. The camp and retreat center also strives to develop leadership within the laity and clergy that is diverse yet united by their love for Christ. 

Sky Lake is the perfect place for visitors who wish to deepen their connection with God and build meaningful relationships with their neighbors. With the help of the Camp & Retreat Ministries staff and volunteers, visitors will be able to engage in meaningful activities that will help them grow in their relationship with God, be the body of Christ within the world, and live in accordance with the example of Jesus Christ.

Since 1927, the JCC of Binghamton has been a vital part of the Broome County community. Buckley Day Camp is located in Nassau County, Long Island and is committed to providing children with the opportunity to learn life skills in a safe and nurturing environment. We provide activities such as soccer, swimming and other sports that help kids develop important skills such as teamwork, perseverance, respect, and creativity. Our staff is dedicated to providing each family with a positive and memorable experience and are available to answer any questions or concerns before, during and after camp. Buckley Country Day Camp

Camp Hilltop has been a part of the Hancock, New York community since 1924. This beautiful camp is situated on 600 acres of woodlands and fields, with a private lake, in the picturesque Catskill Mountains, just two and a half hours from New York City. This summer camp offers a variety of activities, including water skiing, wakeboarding, trapeze, hiking, horses, climbing tower, high ropes, and many sports, performing arts and arts and crafts. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing and non-competitive environment, with a four to one camper to counselor ratio, overseen by a mature, skilled and caring staff. 

Camp Hilltop is more than just a summer camp; it’s a place where children and young adults can find a friendly and fun community and explore the wondrous possibilities in their lives. Whether it be for two weeks or eight, we provide a safe and supportive environment that encourages campers to develop their skills, build relationships, and grow in confidence.

Nestled on a picturesque peninsula in the Adirondack Mountains, overlooking the beauty of Brant Lake, Point O’Pines brings together girls of all ages for seven weeks of unforgettable fun, friendship, learning, and excitement. Our campers take part in unparalleled instruction and activities, and are encouraged to try new things, while boosting their confidence and self-esteem in a secure and supportive environment. 

For seven weeks each summer, Point O’Pines is a magical place for our campers to make memories that will last a lifetime. We offer a wide variety of activities to engage our campers and help them to develop skills, build leadership, and gain self-esteem. Our focus on building strong interpersonal relationships and creating a positive camp spirit will give your daughter the skills and confidence to succeed.

Point O'Pines Camp for Girls

At Camp Centerland, your child will have a summer to remember! From kindergarten to 10th grade, kids will enjoy making lifelong friendships and discovering their inner strength. Our camp focuses on three core values — Chesed, Kehillah, and Tikkun Olam — to teach children the importance of being kind, building community, and making a positive impact in the world. We also understand that a great summer camp experience includes lots of fun too! Swimming, popsicles, and singing camp songs will be some of the highlights of your child’s summer. 

At Camp Centerland, we believe that every child should have the chance to make wonderful memories while discovering their own individual strengths. Our goal is to provide an environment where children can learn the values of Chesed, Kehillah, and Tikkun Olam through meaningful activities and experiences. Plus, when it’s all said and done, your child will have plenty of time to cool off in the pool and have a few popsicles with friends while singing some of their favorite camp songs. Camp Centerland (JCCA)

Camp Nabby has been providing Westchester County families with summer fun since 1940. In 1970, the Bertino family, led by Frank and Flo, became the second owners of the then-called Nabby Day Camp. As an experienced educator and coach, Frank was eager to take on the challenge of creating a top-notch physical education program from the ground up.

Prior to coming to Camp Nabby, Frank and Flo had spent 44 years at Riverdale Country School in the Bronx, where Frank held a distinguished record as an administrator and teacher. His greatest accomplishments, however, were on the football field: in four decades of coaching, Frank led Riverdale teams to an impressive 17 undefeated seasons and 17 Ivy Preparatory School League championships, with a final record of 247‑47‑6.

Camp Nabby is a beloved Westchester summer day camp that has been creating lasting memories for families since 1940. Since 1955, families have trusted THE MOUNT TOM DIFFERENCE to create lasting memories and foster positive youth development. Each group is led by an experienced, professional educator who spends the entire camp day with your children. Campers have the opportunity to participate in over 50 developmentally appropriate activities, including sports, swimming, and arts and crafts. We strive to ensure all campers build positive relationships, take healthy risks, try new activities and increase self-esteem.
