Camp Huntington offers therapeutic recreation programs that are learning and developmentally based. We offer 3 programs during summer and winter week program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Each program is therapeutically designed by special education and therapy professionals to provide the sensory and behavioral supports your child needs to experience the fun of camp while learning valuable life skills. At Camp Huntington, we are cognizant of the need to both provide a safe and fun environment for our campers to spend the summer, and also to work on skill acquisition and achieving goals that will increase independence upon returning to their community. Our uniquely designed program contains specific approaches within our activities that meet the needs of a wide variety of individuals with special needs.
