We’ve seen campers make lifelong friendships that start with the shared experiences of living together at camp. The girls in the cabin become a tightknit family unit. They share stories of the day, discuss victories and defeats, and even braid each other’s hair. Of course, there are also plenty of opportunities for laughter and silliness. This is the special bond that is formed between campers at Chippewa. To further strengthen these relationships, we pair counselors with the same cabin of girls each summer. This allows the counselors to form a strong bond with your daughter over the years. Appelton Memorial Park is a beloved community hub for outdoor fun and recreation. It is the largest and most diverse of Appleton Parks, boasting 143 acres of lush green, playgrounds, trails, and a fishing pond. Families can make use of the seven softball diamonds, the Miracle League Field, and the Appleton Family Ice Center. The park also has a pavilion and amphitheater that can be rented out and the Scheig Center and its surrounding gardens are open to visitors. In the winter months, when there is enough snow, areas of the park are groomed for cross-country skiing and a sled hill is available for all ages. Erin Chisman is the founder of Academy of Sound in Oregon, WI. She has been teaching piano since 1997 and in 2003, she opened Erin's Piano Studio, which became Academy of Sound in 2007. Erin studied with Margaret McKay in Stoughton and has also been in various choirs, as well as studied violin, flute, and voice. Erin is dedicated to giving back to the community. She co-founded the Oregon Youth Center and was a board member of the Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce for four years. During her time there, she served as Secretary, Vice President, and President. In 2014, InBusiness Magazine named her one of their “40 Under 40”. She also has a travel hacking YouTube channel with over 78,000 views. In addition to her music career, Erin also owns the business consulting and accounting firm Elevated Business Services. She is also a certified Category A Piano Teacher through the Mayron Cole Music Conservatory in Austin, TX and competed in the National Piano-Playing Auditions through the American College of Musicians at the district and national levels between 1996 and 1999. She was also awarded the Director's Service Award at Oregon High School in 1999.

She grew up in a musical family, with her father being a concert pianist and her mother a cello teacher. From a young age, Jill has been singing and performing at her father’s concerts. She went on to gain qualifications from Lawrence University and Alverno College in vocal performance, music education and French. Her repertoire covers a wide range of styles, from Broadway and classical to jazz and pop. She has performed in many of the Milwaukee area’s top theatres, including the Florentine Opera, Shorewood Players, Off the Wall Broadway Theatre, Sunset Playhouse, Charles Allis Art Museum and the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. Since 1965, CTM has been a Madison institution offering exceptional family-friendly theatre productions. We are dedicated to making theatre accessible to all ages, backgrounds, and abilities by providing diverse programming, varying price points (including free activities), and by collaborating with other organizations. Our home for over 30 years has been the Overture Center (previously the Madison Civic Center). At CTM, education is at the heart of what we do. Our year-round program enrolls 1,100 students per year, and includes classes for pre-K through grade 12. We also partner with Goodman Community Center and Lussier Community Education Center to provide free after-school theatre classes to children from lower-income families.
