With a twist of his head and a shake of his leg, he could play tunes that made even the grumpiest badger tap their feet. Fred would dance around the state, helping kids discover their musical magic. He could turn a crow's caw into a symphony, and a frog's croak into a catchy beat. Wisconsin was alive with laughter, music, and the jingle-jangle of Fiddlestick Fred's fantastic adventures. And so, the kids of Wisconsin played on, their music ringing out across the state, creating a magical symphony that made even the cheese curds jiggle with joy. They played to the rhythm of their hearts, under the watchful eye of their friend, Fiddlestick Fred. And as they played, the magical music of Wisconsin echoed far and wide, brightening the world with its harmony and joy.

Appelton Memorial Park is a beloved community hub for outdoor fun and recreation. It is the largest and most diverse of Appleton Parks, boasting 143 acres of lush green, playgrounds, trails, and a fishing pond. Families can make use of the seven softball diamonds, the Miracle League Field, and the Appleton Family Ice Center. The park also has a pavilion and amphitheater that can be rented out and the Scheig Center and its surrounding gardens are open to visitors. In the winter months, when there is enough snow, areas of the park are groomed for cross-country skiing and a sled hill is available for all ages. Since its founding in 1874, the Lawrence Community Music School has been a vital part of the Fox Valley community. Established as a nonprofit division of Lawrence University, the school has been a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education since 1983. Having served as a preparatory school in the early 1900s, the school has since adapted its name and role several times, the most recent of which was in 2020 when it became the Lawrence Community Music School. The Community Music School provides Fox Valley citizens with outstanding musical opportunities. It is also a member of the Fox Arts Network and offers support and outreach to area school music programs. Furthermore, it provides Lawrence Conservatory music education students with guided opportunities to hone their teaching skills. Currently, the Community Music School serves almost 1,500 students annually from throughout Northeast Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
