Wisconsin is a realm of cheese, green pastures, and lakes that sparkle like diamonds under the sun. It's where you can hear cows' mooing symphonies, punctuated by the occasional, "Hey, watch out for that cheese wheel!" Yes, this is a land where cheese chases are a legitimate sport. 

But let's talk about the rock-climbing kids of Wisconsin. They are as brave as knights from fairy tales, always ready to face mountains and boulders that stand before them like grumpy, stone giants. Meet our hero, Sir Cheddar-Chip, the coolest rock-climbing kid in Wisconsin. He's as sharp as a Wisconsin cheddar, and as brave as a bag of spicy tortilla chips. 

Every day, after school, Sir Cheddar-Chip straps on his magical helmet, the Cheese Crown, and tugs on his Great Glove of Grip, the secrets of which have been passed down through generations of Wisconsinite cheese miners. Then, with a determined look in his eyes, he conquers rock faces taller than a hundred stacked cheese wheels.

But something makes Sir Cheddar-Chip unique. You see, every time he reaches the top, instead of running back down like the other kids, he does a hilarious chicken dance, clucking and flapping his arms wildly. This always sends the other rock-climbing kids into fits of laughter. Here in Wisconsin, they believe the louder the laughter, the cheesier the cheese. So if you ever taste an incredibly cheesy chunk of Wisconsin cheddar, it's probably thanks to Sir Cheddar-Chip and his rock-climbing, chicken-dancing antics!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

For over 22 years, Boulders Climbing Gym East has been giving Madison locals a place to train and practice their beloved sport. Founded by local climbers, the gym began as a humble set up with sculpted walls, clay holds, and gravel floors. 

The climbing gym has now expanded to a new downtown location right off the Capitol Square, where they continue to introduce the sport to hundreds of new individuals every year. Boulders is proud to offer youth programs for all ages, experience levels, and abilities. These programs offer members a Boulders membership along with all the perks that individual members receive. 

Parents can find the perfect program for their children, from the youngest participants to the oldest. Boulders Climbing Gym East is committed to creating a vibrant community, and giving kids the ability to explore and develop a love for the sport of climbing.

At Camp Eagle Ridge, we also believe in healthy living skills. We prioritize physical activity, healthy eating, and outdoor education. We are dedicated to teaching our campers about the importance of nutrition, physical activity, and respecting the environment. We offer a variety of activities to help them grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Our campers learn to take ownership of their own health and wellbeing through experiences that build self-confidence and self-advocacy. 

Finally, we strive to build a sense of community responsibility. We believe in the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment that encourages our campers to be compassionate leaders. We teach our campers about the importance of being a part of the community and how to be respectful and responsible citizens. We focus on working together in a positive manner and learning how to be accountable for their actions. We provide our campers with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their community and the world.

North Star Camp is a premier residential camp for boys located in Hayward, Wisconsin, on 120 acres of land featuring 2.5 miles of Northwoods shoreline. Accredited by the American Camp Association, North Star provides a structured but not regimented environment for campers ages 8 to 15. The camp’s diverse program offers activities and experiences in athletics, water sports, creative arts, and adventure programming, as well as age-appropriate wilderness trips.

Camp Moshava is the perfect place for a meaningful summer experience. Nestled in Wisconsin’s central region, Moshava offers campers a wide selection of activities such as sports, swimming, arts & crafts, drama, boating, music, overnights, zip line, Maccabiah, and more. All activities are supervised by highly knowledgeable staff who ensure safety and help campers improve their skills. In addition, campers of all ages and genders partake in three daily tefilot and enjoy a strictly Glatt kosher menu. The camp’s Jewish educators, including rabbis, principals, teachers, and shlichim, provide shiurim which are led by participants in our kollel and midrasha. We’ve seen campers make lifelong friendships that start with the shared experiences of living together at camp.

The girls in the cabin become a tightknit family unit. They share stories of the day, discuss victories and defeats, and even braid each other’s hair. Of course, there are also plenty of opportunities for laughter and silliness. This is the special bond that is formed between campers at Chippewa. 

To further strengthen these relationships, we pair counselors with the same cabin of girls each summer. This allows the counselors to form a strong bond with your daughter over the years. We’ve seen campers form friendships that last a lifetime and it all starts with the shared experiences of living and growing together at camp.

Located in the beautiful northwest corner of Wisconsin, this traditional camp for girls provides a variety of land and water sports, climbing, wilderness trips, crafts, drama, and horseback riding. Our wilderness-tripping program is one of the premier programs in the country and is designed to let every girl shine.
