Jackie manages the gym on a day to day basis and Matt is a financial advisor by day and manages much of the backend operations at night. As parents to Maddie, Jolie and Jax, the Dorris family is committed to providing a safe, fun and nurturing environment for all. Stoughton Tumblers was established in 1988 by Harold Shaw, and is now owned and operated by Tara Wood, a Stoughton local who has been involved in the business for 30 years. In 2014, the business relocated to the north side business park, and is now expanding once again in August 2019. The gym will occupy 7,500 square feet, offering customers a variety of exciting programs such as Stoughton Warrior classes (ninja warrior), introduction to gymnastics classes, and recreational cheer. We are thrilled to announce that we will be teaming up with Infinite Cheer & Tumble, a business previously located in Sun Prairie. Infinite Cheer will be coaching our rec cheer classes in addition to running their own special programs and competitive cheer programs. Jessie’s father, Joel Alberti, was the original Program Director of Badger Gymnastics Academy, and was instrumental in bringing the popular youth gymnastics classes to BGA. He developed the curriculum for the classes that have evolved into the “Tumbleweeds” program today. The current competitive team coach, Tom Nikl, has been with BGA since its founding. Together, Jessie and Tom have created a positive and welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy. Kim has had a long relationship with USA Gymnastics. She started her journey in 1978, competing in the Junior Olympic program, and then went on to Michigan State University where she continued her competitive career and earned her undergraduate degree in Physiology. Kim's passion for teaching didn't truly blossom until she returned to Madison in 1993. She was back in school to pursue a degree in Social Work, and also found time to coach gymnastics. This experience has enabled her to coach a variety of activities, such as diving, snow and water skiing, and dance. Since 1996, Kim has been a resident of Middleton. She is thrilled to bring the city a state of the art full size gymnastics facility. Her experience and knowledge of gymnastics, combined with her passion for teaching, will make the facility a great addition to the community.
