Since 1980, Revere Karate Academy has been a cornerstone of the City of Revere and surrounding communities, helping to build life skills through the power of martial arts instruction. For four decades, Revere Karate Academy has been advancing the physical, mental, and social aspects of its students. Through its classes, the Academy has helped countless individuals to build confidence, focus, and discipline. Youth in Motion is a perfect way to keep kids active and engaged during after school hours. It offers 8,000 square feet of fun and personalized learning for ages 5 to 14. With a variety of activities available, such as basketball, group games, yoga and dance, children can stay mentally and physically active. It's open Monday through Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 pm, and full-day services are available during school vacations, professional development days, and the summer. The Reflection Room provides a calming space for kids to relax and recharge. Youth in Motion is the perfect place to help kids create healthy lifestyle habits and have a great time.

At Cronin Skating Rink, you can find an abundance of skating programs for all age and abilities. The facility features an Ice Box Café serving snacks and light fare, and a heated meeting room to make sure all guests stay warm and comfortable. You can find everything from beginner to elite skating programs at Cronin Skating Rink. From freestyle sessions, learn to skate, and development, to specialized figure skating programs, there is something for everyone. The Ice Box Café is the perfect spot to grab some snacks and light fare before or after your skating session. The heated meeting room is the perfect place to get warm and comfortable and take a break from the ice. Cronin Skating Rink is the perfect place to find the perfect skating program for you or your family. Whether you are a beginner or an elite skater, there is something to suite everyone. The Ice Box Café, heated meeting room, and variety of skating programs make it the perfect place to get out and enjoy some ice time.

Meet Master Tewfik, the owner and founder of GMAS Karate. From his beginnings in Algeria, where he trained several hours a day for many years, to his 18th birthday where he won his first kickboxing championship competition, Master Tewfik has come a long way. Since then, he has gone on to win several more championships in Morocco and Algeria and has mastered Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Kenpo, and Jujitsu styles. Over the past 31 years, Master Tewfik has taught Mixed Martial Arts to students all over Algeria, Morocco, Europe, and now in the USA. He continues to inspire younger generations with his skills and knowledge.

At the JKA Revere Martial Arts Center, students of all ages and ability levels have the opportunity to learn Shotokan karate in a safe and positive environment. Master Funakoshi Gichin introduced Shotokan karate to Japan from Okinawa, making it one of the most widely practiced traditional styles of karate in the world today. Shotokan karate puts heavy focus on kihon (basic techniques), kata (forms) and kumite (sparring) to develop a range of powerful and dynamic techniques. Sensei Walid Karaf, the chief and founding instructor of the JKA Revere Martial Arts Center, has been training in Shotokan karate since 1979 and has attained his Yondan (fourth degree black belt). He and his team of instructors are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential in the martial art.

At Community Action Programs Inter City, Inc. (CAPIC), we are dedicated to identifying and eliminating the root causes of poverty in Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop. Our twenty-one member Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from the public, private, and low-income sectors of the communities we serve, ensuring that decision-making is reflective of the needs of our clients. CAPIC is also engaged in a variety of housing and weatherization services, including programs in East Boston and twenty-five other regional communities. Our goal is to help people become more self-sufficient, by providing a variety of services to those who are struggling financially and emotionally.
