In the cool, crisp state of Massachusetts, aptly nicknamed "The Codfish State," a bunch of exuberant kids have discovered an exciting secret. They've become masters of the swish and the swoosh, the roll and the pin - they've become Jiu-jitsu enthusiasts! Now, allow me to introduce you to the most famous of these Massachusetts Jiu-jitsu youngsters - a boy named Boston Bumblebee Barry. Don't let the name fool you, Barry isn't a buzzing insect, but he's buzzing with energy alright! He's a 12-year-old with a smile that could outshine a lighthouse and a sense of humor that could tickle a crab into laughter. When he's not busy with schoolwork or trying to invent the world's first marshmallow pizza (because, according to him, it could be a revolutionary form of dessert), you can find him at the local Jiu-Jitsu dojo. Here, Boston Bumblebee Barry, with his golden gi and black belt, rolls and tumbles on the mat like a playful seal, while his fellow Jiu-jitsu buddies cheer him on. These Massachusetts kids are not your ordinary lot. They’ve become experts at twisting and turning, grappling, and pinning, all while maintaining the concentration of a wise old owl and the agility of a frisky squirrel. They have turned the ancient martial art of Jiu-jitsu into a game as fun as a wild clam-bake party on a sunny beach. And just like a clam, they've learnt to toughen up on the outside, while keeping their hearts soft and kind. They may be Massachusetts 'grapplers' on the mat, but off it, they're just regular kids with big dreams, hearty laughs, and an unending love for marshmallow pizzas, thanks to Boston Bumblebee Barry, of course!

Help your child unlock their creative potential with the fun and engaging art classes offered by RedBlue Arts in Sugarland. We've carefully crafted our courses to ignite the imagination of our little learners and nurture their love for artistic expression. Art is a fundamental and crucial pastime that allows children to freely play, explore their creativity, and express their thoughts without any external pressures. Children love to convey their feelings and ideas through a variety of art mediums, from finger painting and chalk sketching to creating collages. At RedBlue Arts, we understand and value the unique power of art in helping children connect and communicate with the world around them, in ways that traditional subjects like math or science might not offer. Research has shown how vital it is to foster creativity in children from an early age. According to the International Child Art Foundation, exposure to the arts can help children develop creative thinking skills, innovation, and even abilities to create intellectual property, all of which are key to thriving in the 21st century. Art has also been shown to positively shape a child's character and personality, playing a significant role in their overall development. Our children's art classes in Sugarland aim to create a supportive environment where kids can explore their artistic talents, sharpen their critical thinking skills, and build confidence in self-expression. Our classes provide a stage for budding artists to share their ideas and enjoy the process of creating art. Experience the profound impact of the creative arts on a child's development at RedBlue Arts. Witness firsthand the transformative power of art and its substantial role in shaping and enhancing young minds. At RedBlue Arts, we're dedicated to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of young artists.

At the JKA Revere Martial Arts Center, students of all ages and ability levels have the opportunity to learn Shotokan karate in a safe and positive environment. Master Funakoshi Gichin introduced Shotokan karate to Japan from Okinawa, making it one of the most widely practiced traditional styles of karate in the world today. Shotokan karate puts heavy focus on kihon (basic techniques), kata (forms) and kumite (sparring) to develop a range of powerful and dynamic techniques. Sensei Walid Karaf, the chief and founding instructor of the JKA Revere Martial Arts Center, has been training in Shotokan karate since 1979 and has attained his Yondan (fourth degree black belt). He and his team of instructors are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential in the martial art.
