Our passionate instructors specialize in teaching water safety and swimming lessons for children and adults, so you can trust our twenty-year track record of success. Gerald Little and Meric Tendrich, founders of Little Swimmers, have been providing South Florida with quality swimming instruction since 1996. With the help of their extensive experience as swimming instructors and firefighters, they have developed a water safety program that is designed to be the safest and most effective way to teach swimming to both children and adults. With four convenient locations in West Kendall, Killian, Homestead and Pembroke Pines, Little Swimmers has been able to create a supportive learning environment for their students, allowing them to make progress and develop their skills in swimming. In 1978, Nelson Andujar, 7th dan, Shihan, founded the Miami Aikikai. He was a direct student of Yoshimitsu Yamada, 8th Dan, Shihan, so the school has a strong foundation in traditional aikido. Andujar Sensei moved to Texas in 1996, but his influence still resonates at the dojo. The instructors at Miami Aikikai are all certified through the United States Aikido Federation (USAF) and Hombu Dojo in Japan. Through their teaching, they focus on both the martial applications and the philosophy of blending and harmony that is integral to aikido.
