About The Stormont Kings Chess Program in Miami, FL
Chris Stormont and The Stormont Kings Chess Program have been teaching the game of chess since 1991. As a child, he was taught by his father and joined his first chess club at South Miami Middle School. From there, he was invited to compete in a tournament against West Miami Middle School, where he tied for first place. This success led the way for Chris to start his own chess club. After meeting a man running a chess club on weekends for children, he was inspired to start his own program. The Stormont Kings grew from offering lessons and teaching at schools to conducting tournaments and more at multiple locations in Dade and Broward Counties.

CHESS LESSONS
Private Lessons are tailored for the individual that would like to learn at his or her pace. We would go over Openings, Middle Games, End Games, Tactics, Positional Play, Puzzles and more. One of the best ways to improve your game is to bring the notation of your tournament games to your chess Depending upon your level, instructors will also help you to develop an opening repertoire, as well as to provide specialized endgame training coach and have them analyze the game with you.

GROUP CHESS LESSONS
Our approach to group lessons is to keep them as individualized as possible. We accomplish this by allowing players who have similar learning needs to form a group. There will be some chess instruction at the beginning of each class, then the children will play and practice what they learn.

ONLINE CHESS LESSONS
Now you can take Private Lessons in the comfort of your home, or virtually any location you choose with an internet connection. This is done with a multi feature platform with video conferencing for meetings and special chess software. You would only need to download the meeting software one time to connect and I will share the screen with remote control access.
