In 2002, it was awarded the rights to the Les Miserables Student Edition and, in 2006, won the bid to become the resident theater operator for the state-of-the-art Robert Russell Theater in Kendall. Miami Childrens Theater provides a unique opportunity for young people to learn about the performing arts. Under the guidance of founder Angela Ardolino, it has flourished to become the go-to destination for young performers in South Florida. Our unique approach to learning allows students to perfect their skills through private lessons and group rehearsals, before taking to the stage and showing off their new talents. At South Florida Music, we believe that music is an important part of a child’s development. That’s why we’ve chosen to use the Musikgarten curriculum, which is tailored to provide age appropriate musical and developmental activities. Our certified teachers have each trained under master teachers in the field of early childhood music education, and our classes are limited to 12 students per section (10 in our keyboard classes) to ensure a high student to teacher ratio. We understand that music is a family endeavor, which is why all of our classes require a parent or caregiver to attend with the child. This allows parents and caregivers to spend quality time together with their children, in a stress free and playful environment.
