The Louis Astorino Arena is a staple in the New England hockey world and has been called home by generations of hockey players. Our instructors have a wealth of knowledge and experience, each with a unique set of skills in the Martial Arts that they bring to Bashta’s Martial Arts. Welcome to Bashta’s Martial Arts! We are a traditional martial arts program with a 21st century attitude. Our program offers something for everyone, no matter your age or experience level. Our core program consists of training kata, self defense, and fundamentals, while our sport karate program focuses on speed fighting, competition forms, and weapons training. You will learn the traditional elements and fundamentals of Bo, the primary weapon used in our program. The Batter’s Box is Connecticut’s oldest baseball and softball training facility, offering a wide range of services to players of all skill levels. Our 11,000 square foot facility includes 5 batting cages, 3 pitching mounds, a soft toss area and a 7,500 square foot fielding area. Our experienced staff of instructors has been teaching players in all aspects of the game for over three decades. At The Batter’s Box, we understand that the game of baseball is not easy and that’s why we stress mental focus and proper mechanics. We start by teaching players the basics and encouraging them to work hard and focus. We believe that players should practice their skills not only in our facility, but also at home, so that they can become the best players they can be. We strive to instill in our students the importance of hard work and dedication, teaching the difference between simply swinging the bat and conscientious practice.
