About Batter's Box Inc

The Batter’s Box is Connecticut’s oldest baseball and softball training facility, offering a wide range of services to players of all skill levels. Our 11,000 square foot facility includes 5 batting cages, 3 pitching mounds, a soft toss area and a 7,500 square foot fielding area. Our experienced staff of instructors has been teaching players in all aspects of the game for over three decades. At The Batter’s Box, we understand that the game of baseball is not easy and that’s why we stress mental focus and proper mechanics. We start by teaching players the basics and encouraging them to work hard and focus. We believe that players should practice their skills not only in our facility, but also at home, so that they can become the best players they can be. We strive to instill in our students the importance of hard work and dedication, teaching the difference between simply swinging the bat and conscientious practice.

Christmas Baseball Camp
All aspects of baseball hitting, pitching, and fielding. Ages 10 and Under, Ages: 11-13, Ages: 14-17

Advanced Hitting Camps
Our hitting camps touch on all aspects of mechanics, with the 14-18 group, 80% of each session is spent working on hitting while the other 20% focuses on throwing The Monday night session for 8-13 year old is a full baseball camp that will focus on all aspects hitting, fielding and throwing.

Advanced Pitching Camps
In the majority of baseball games, the pitching position is the difference between winning and losing. The Batter’s Box has developed some of the top pitchers in the state for many years. We teach A-Z mechanics, with the focus on THINKING, as opposed to just throwing. Concentration is on fastballs and change ups first, then after your thirteen year old season we will begin to develop the breaking ball.
