For more than 65 years, Lotus Lake Day Camp has been a beloved institution in Central Vermont, providing a tradition of day camping for children between the ages of 5 and 14. Located in Vermont, Akeela is a traditional New England co-ed overnight camp that offers a well-rounded, traditional program with the added bonus of a small, supportive community. Boys and girls ages 9 – 17 who have difficulty connecting with their peers are all welcome, as well as older teens who have completed 10th – 12th grades. Akeela is a safe and accepting environment for children and teens with Asperger’s Syndrome, NVLD (or NLD) or a similar neurodiverse profile, as well as those who are undiagnosed but share similar characteristics. Campers can expect to be embraced and understood by a staff that is committed to helping them improve their social skills. The Akeela experience is truly transformative. Campers not only have the time of their lives, but leave with improved self-confidence and social skills that they can carry with them long after camp is over. Akeela is the perfect place for “quirky” kids to make friends and have fun, all while learning invaluable life skills.

Camp Dudley & Kiniya have been nurturing boys and girls for over 130 years. Located on the beautiful Adirondack Mountains in New York and the tranquil shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont, the camp provides a unique opportunity for children to develop their physical, spiritual, and leadership abilities. Our 146-acre property has grown from 6 campers in 1919 to 170 campers per session today. Through our balanced program of arts, athletics, outdoor exploration, and spirituality, we give children the chance to gain confidence and build character. We also provide a safe, electronics-free environment where children can make lifelong memories and form authentic friendships.
