The DCP strives "to provide recreation and other related programs and services which meet the community's needs, with a special consideration for seniors and youth." Along with the Department of Community Services, the DCP also manages and maintains several parks and facilities including the Municipal Golf Course and the Family Aquatic Center. The DCP itself is housed at the Summit Community Center and is comprised of five full-time staff members and one part-time staff member. The DCP also employees hundreds of seasonal camp counselors, lifeguards, gate attendants, and maintenance workers.

For the past nine years, Robot Revolution has been a leader in robotics education, teaching thousands of students the ins and outs of the VEX IQ program in New Jersey. Our team of full-time, experienced and qualified staff members take great pride in helping students reach their full potential. As the largest robotics school in NJ, Robot Revolution has made a name for itself at the New Jersey State Championship, and has sent teams to the World Championship every year. Our students have also earned scholarships to some of the best colleges in the nation, from Harvey Mudd and Cornell to Cal Poly and the University of Colorado. Robot Revolution is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators. Our staff’s passion for robotics and guidance has helped countless students reach their goals and prepare for success in college and beyond.

For fifty-three years, New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble (NJDTE) has been providing pre-professional training to aspiring dancers, located in Summit, NJ. The organization is led by its Artistic Director Nancy Turano and was founded in 1969 under the direction of internationally acclaimed ballet master Alfredo Corvino. NJDTE has been highly successful in providing dancers and choreographers with an artistic excellence through its innovative training and mentoring programs. NJDTE strives to empower dancers with both contemporary technologies and traditional dance forms. Its Movement Invention Project2® has been recognised in the New York City metro area for its unique approach to dance education. NJDTE’s ultimate goal is to mentor dancers into higher education and professional dance, as well as providing employment opportunities for alumni. NJDTE has maintained a successful dance curriculum for over five decades, with its high-quality training and experiences with world-renowned dancers, teachers, choreographers, and musicians. Through NJDTE, dancers can reach their full potential, with the chance to develop into full-fledged professionals in the world of dance.

Tae Kwon Do is a martial art that was developed as a form of self-defense in Korea over 2,000 years ago. It combines physical, mental and spiritual training so that each student may develop to their fullest potential. "Tae" means kicking or the techniques of using the feet; "Kwon" means punching, or the techniques of using the hands; and "Do" means the way through self-discipline and enlightenment.

The Summit Area YMCA is committed to nurturing the potential of every individual, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. We are a cause driven, volunteer led, nonprofit organization working to support and strengthen the foundations of community. The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey nurtures the capacity for personal expression, expands the creative experience, and fosters stronger communities by empowering people to see, make, and learn about art. Through exhibition, Studio School, and community programs, the Art Center engenders connection, curiosity, and creative risk-taking among its constituents.

The Connection is a non-profit, women-led organization dedicated to enhancing lives and fostering community.
