Here at the Abrecea Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy (Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Lineage) we teach the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi & No Gi (Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu), Muay Thai Boxing, & Western Boxing. Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum Our curriculum is based on a central principle of early learning. Our teachers get to know children on every level including how they learn, play and communicate. We personalize learning with individualized attention to fit each child’s interest and abilities. Physical play includes activities that use physical movements to allow children to use their energy, and it gives children the chance to develop gross and fine motor skills, learn new things and socialize. Physical play also benefits a child's health. Our Daily activities and curriculum is full of opportunities for the children of all ages to develop healthy habits.

Bergenfield’s first lending library was located in a small room in Mutual Hall on Front and Van Houten streets at the end of World War I. In 1920, the Library moved to the second floor of Town Hall where it grew from one to four rooms, until it relocated to Borough Hall in 1936. As the Borough of Bergenfield grew post-World War II, so did the demand for Library services. During the 1960s, the Library Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Library (which was organized in 1961) began a concentrated effort to build a dedicated space for the Bergenfield Public Library. Construction at 50 West Clinton Avenue began in 1967; the new facility, which the Library has called home for 51 years, opened in 1968. Throughout its nearly 100-year history, community leaders had the foresight to know that a public library would play an important role in the growth and well being of the town. In 2003, the Library moved to temporary quarters and a major renovation and expansion funded by a State Library Grant and Borough funds began. Dedicated in 2005, the new space helped expand programming for children and teens, and paved the way for vital improvements such as English as a Second Language tutoring, greater access to public computers, job and career assistance, adult quiet study rooms, and more.

Sensory Tae-Kwon-Do is a unique Therapeutic Martial Arts program for children on the spectrum, or with behavioral and/or learning disabilities. It is a breakthrough doctor supervised martial arts program custom-designed around each child's neurological requirements and needs. The core of this program is extracted from cutting-edge neurological studies that incorporate movement exercise to help create healthier pathways in the brain. Therapeutic mind-body activities stimulate the brain improving balance, muscle strength, coordination, self-awareness, executive functions, and working memory. We call this the bottom-up foundation approach and has proven far more successful in accelerating development. We've discovered that our technique also benefits siblings and neurotypical children.

O. DiBella’s location features a 6,500-square-foot showroom with a lower level that accommodates ten lesson rooms, a repair shop, and warehouse space. The showroom includes areas dedicated to print music, digital keyboards, drums and percussion, guitars and amps, and horns and orchestral strings as well as semi-discrete rooms for basses and amps, high-end guitars, and pro audio and lighting.

At Nunnbetter Dance Theatre, our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which young dancers can grow and thrive. Our classes cater to students starting at age 3, so even the littlest dancers can experience the joy of dance. Our curriculum and programming is designed to help beginners as well as pre-professional dancers reach their full potential. We understand that parents want to be involved in their children’s dance education, which is why we have four beautiful studios that feature parent observation windows. Our in-studio theater is also equipped with a full lighting and sound system, so parents can observe their children’s performances in a professional atmosphere. We’re proud of our full costume shop, which has a beautiful collection of professional quality costumes. With these costumes, our dancers can feel transformed and inspired by their creative performances. Our costume shop ensures that every dancer looks and feels his or her best on stage.

Transfiguration Academy is a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey located in northeast Bergen County in the Borough of Bergenfield. The academy can trace its history back to 1921 when St. John the Evangelist School was founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
