For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. In 1988, Hank and Nancy Beebe began the Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake, with a mission of producing community plays and providing arts education to the area. Over the years, the organization has grown to include a board of directors and the acquisition of the historic Standish High School building in 1994. Today, the Schoolhouse Arts Center provides an inviting atmosphere for all ages to develop their artistic and creative skills. The Schoolhouse Arts Center offers a variety of classes for everyone from preschoolers to adults, including theater, music, art, and dance. The goal of the center is to help build confidence and foster creativity by providing a supportive and inspiring environment for the community.
