Their music coach is none other than Maestro Marvin the Moose, a singing sensation with a hip pair of sunglasses and a knack for finding the perfect harmony. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. In 1988, Hank and Nancy Beebe began the Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake, with a mission of producing community plays and providing arts education to the area. Over the years, the organization has grown to include a board of directors and the acquisition of the historic Standish High School building in 1994. Today, the Schoolhouse Arts Center provides an inviting atmosphere for all ages to develop their artistic and creative skills. The Schoolhouse Arts Center offers a variety of classes for everyone from preschoolers to adults, including theater, music, art, and dance. The goal of the center is to help build confidence and foster creativity by providing a supportive and inspiring environment for the community. Through its many programs and activities, the Schoolhouse Arts Center has become a thriving arts center in the Sebago Lake area, providing an opportunity for everyone to explore and experience the arts.
