At Overland, we believe that the journey is as important as the destination. Our summer trips are designed to give young people the opportunity to work together in small groups to accomplish something of personal significance. Whether it’s climbing a mountain, biking a coast, or learning a new language, we provide the support and guidance needed to make the experience a success.

It all started on October 31, 1975, when Jim and I held the first Starlight Stage Youth Theatre rehearsal at 2:10 PM. We were both working at Pine Cobble School in Williamtown MA and wanted to create a summer school. We both thought that a summer youth theatre would be a great addition to the school, and we were right! Over the next three summers, Jim and I ran Starlight Stage Youth Theatre as part of the summer school. We had a lot of fun and we made a lot of memories. We also grew the program to include not just middle schoolers, but high schoolers and even college students. Today, the Starlight Stage Youth Theatre continues to be a popular summer program. It all began 45 years ago in Williamtown MA, and we’re proud that we were able to bring this program to life.

Buxton is an all-gender boarding and day college preparatory school located in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. For nearly a century, our school has been a warm and equal community where students can explore their academic, artistic, and social growth. Bear Martial Arts' deliver a values-based martial arts program centering on character building, goal setting, and leadership skills. Along with teaching techniques in self-defense, the new WYC martial arts program focuses on the importance of respect, self-esteem, and self-control. Goshin Jutsu, a self-defense oriented martial art emphasizing the interaction of the striking arts with the jujutsu arts, will be the style of instruction.
