At MEM Dance Theatre, we believe that dancing should be a fun, enriching experience. Our dancers learn various techniques and styles of choreography, develop their performance skills, and gain experience performing in a variety of settings. By participating in our classes and performances, our dancers become a part of the MEM Dance Theatre family. Located at the First Church in Sterling Center, Village Green Preschool (VGP) is a nonsectarian, nonprofit organization that has been providing children with a safe and loving environment since 1980. This school is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). VGP offers a developmentally based program for children aged three, four and five years old. The school focuses on the development of self-concept, independence, and respect for individual differences. A VGP Parent Advisory Board is responsible for overseeing policy, personnel decisions, and the maintenance of the facility. Village Green Preschool strives to provide an environment that encourages children to develop their self-concepts, independence, and individuality. With a long-standing commitment to providing quality early childhood education, VGP has been a trusted resource for families in the community since 1980. The school is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We recognize that dance is a constantly evolving art form, and so we have dedicated ourselves to finding new and exciting ways to challenge our students. At Sterling Gym, we make gymnastics more fun! Our facility and staff provide a positive learning atmosphere for every athlete. To ensure a safe and successful experience, we suggest that girls wear leotards and boys wear shorts and t-shirts. We ask that all clothing be fitted and free of buckles, snaps, and zippers. Hair must be tied back and no jewelry or gum is allowed in the activity areas. In addition, tights with feet and leotards with tu-tu's are not allowed. For your convenience, we offer one session that runs from September to June with an automatic payment schedule. Open enrollment is also available throughout the year to help make your schedule easier! At Sterling Gym, we strive to make gymnastics an enjoyable experience for everyone. At SMA we emphasize the life skills that come with martial arts training. Our instructors focus on developing students’ physical, mental, and spiritual strengths, as well as helping them learn the values of honesty, integrity, respect, discipline, and honor. We strive to create a safe and fun learning environment in which our students can develop and excel. Our classes are designed to challenge our students and to build confidence as martial artists. We provide an opportunity for our students to test their skills in competition and to achieve personal growth.
