About Toddler Loving Care Nursery School in Newton, MA
At TLC Nursery School, we have been delighted to provide a nurturing and stimulating play-based learning environment to young children and their families for the past 24 years. Our programs, including Toddler, Preschooler, PreK and Transitional Kindergarten, are all designed to nurture each child’s individual growth and development.
We believe that by exposing children to a foreign language and introducing them to different cultures, we can provide them with an excellent foundation to succeed in life. That’s why we are proud to incorporate multiculturalism and personal celebrations into our program, allowing children to explore and celebrate different cultures.

Pre-K/TK classroom
The PreK/TK program at TLC Nursery School places importance on the child. We emphasis on social-emotional learning as we prepare them for Kindergarten. Priority is placed on giving each child the opportunity to explore and take ownership of their learning through TLC’s play-based curriculum. We provide opportunities for them to practice and gain the skills and tools to problem solve. Independence and leadership skills are promoted through child-initiated activities, and expanded blocks of time allow children to choose their activities. Our PreK/TK classroom sizes (maximum of 18 children with 2 teachers) will enable us to provide a flexible environment that supports each child’s sense of curiosity, creativity, and interests while fostering their development in the cognitive, social/emotional, early literacy and physical domains.

Preschooler 2 Classroom
We have many goals as educators at TLC Nursery School and place importance on the child as an individual. Our Preschooler 2 classroom ensures that children are engaged in meaningful activities and actively learning using concrete materials. Priority is placed in fostering each child’s social and emotional development, by giving each child the opportunity to take initiative, experience success in difficult tasks and create our monthly curriculum reflecting the interests of the children in the classroom. We want our Preschoolers to feel good about them-selves and have a positive self concept. Our small classroom sizes (maximum of 12 Preschoolers with 2 teachers) allow us to provide a flexible environment that supports each child’s sense of curiosity, creativity and interests while fostering their development in the cognitive, social/emotional, early literacy and physical domains.
