    About Nature Explorer Camp at Temple Shalom in Newton, MA

    At Temple Shalom, we are committed to helping our students and their families build a strong connection to their Jewish heritage and to the Jewish community. We provide a range of options for families to explore, including Hebrew language classes, Jewish text study, and hands-on activities that bring Jewish values to life. Our goal is to help children and their families lead meaningful Jewish lives that are rooted in Jewish learning and engagement. Through our innovative programming and collaborative efforts, we provide our families with the tools to create a lasting connection to their Jewish identity.

    Programs at Nature Explorer Camp at Temple Shalom in Newton, MA

    SHACHARIT

    SHACHARIT is our Jewish learning program for students in grades K-5! The program follows a school-year schedule and offers opportunities throughout the week for activity-based learning projects, small peer groups, worship, and spirituality. SHACHARIT also includes Small Group Hebrew for students in grades 2-5.

    MINCHA

    MINCHA is our Jewish learning and engagement program for students in grades 6-7! At MINCHA, we focus on community building, the formation of Jewish identity, living Jewish values, deeply connecting with each other and staff, preparing for the B'nei Mitzvah experience, and feeling at home at Temple Shalom. The program follows a school-year schedule and offers a mix of large group experiences, interest-based learning projects, and smaller peer groups.
