Taekwondo is an ancient martial art that has been around for centuries. The word “taekwondo” is a combination of the Korean words “tae” (kicking techniques), “kwon” (hand techniques) and “do” (discipline and the right way). As such, it is a complete martial art that emphasizes both physical and mental development. Today, millions of people around the world are learning taekwondo for a variety of reasons. Not only does it teach discipline and self-defense, but it also helps to improve flexibility, power, and mental strength. Additionally, taekwondo teaches its practitioners the taekwondo tenets of courtesy, integrity, self-control, perseverance, and indomitable spirit. Vicki McPherson has been in the gymnastics world for more than 40 years. She began her journey by being taught by her father, the owner and coach of the Gymnastics Academy of Boston. Her coaching experience spans all levels from preschool and recreational programs to pre-team developmental programs. At TumbleFun Gymnastics, the family tradition continues with Vicki’s son, JJ McPherson, joining the team. Together, they strive to create a family-oriented atmosphere in the gym, making it a warm and inviting place for all. Vicki and JJ McPherson are a dynamite duo, committed to furthering the family business of gymnastics. With decades of experience and expertise, they are dedicated to providing a safe, inviting, and fun environment for kids of all ages to learn, grow, and have a great time.

At South Shore Riding Stable, we understand the importance of quality training and care for horse and rider. Our exceptional and attentive care of the horse is paramount, and we cultivate a friendly and welcoming environment for all. Our lesson horses and ponies are available to suit any level of riding, from safe beginner ponies to equitation horses. This is achieved by being in the Wuji, or nothingness, and then allowing one to better navigate the material world of yin and yang. As a type of sitting meditation, Zazen is a way to explore the Grand Ultimate of Taiji.
