Moss Cultural Arts Center. Commissioner Dennis C. Moss has been an advocate for the arts for many years and was instrumental in the building of the Center. He served as a Miami-Dade County Commissioner from District 9 from 1993 to 2020 and is a strong supporter of the arts. His leadership and advocacy were essential in creating the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center, which provides the community of South Miami-Dade with opportunities to experience national and international artists in music, dance, and theater. The renaming of the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center to the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center was a fitting tribute to the contributions of Commissioner Moss.
