About Dawson Dance Academy

At The Dance Academy, we strive to provide our students with a safe and nurturing atmosphere for them to reach their full artistic and physical potential. With instruction provided by teachers formally trained in classical dance techniques, our students ranging from 3 to adult will discover more than just dance movements. Our curriculum encourages an appreciation of performing on stage, introduces them to various choreography techniques, and exemplifies how different dance styles can work together. The Dance Academy seeks to give our students the best opportunities to grow and blossom into talented, well-rounded dancers. Our goal is to create a safe and secure environment where students can reach their fullest artistic and physical potential with the help of our teachers who are certified in classical dance techniques. Through our program, students aged 3 to adult will gain a better understanding of dance, learn varied choreography techniques, and become acquainted with how different dance styles can come together.

TINY STARS
This class is a fun creative movement class for ages 2-3 years old. This class allows a parent and child to dance together and bond with one another. DDA is certified to use official “Mommy and Me” curriculum.

PRESCHOOL CLASSES
We offer several different introductory combo classes that allow your child to learn two different styles at the same time!

MUSICAL THEATRE
Musical Theatre is the fusion of singing, dancing, and acting with performance on stage. Classes include breathing and singing technique practice, acting and improvisation activities, as well as dance technique and performance. These classes are for outgoing dancers who like the spotlight, drama, singing, and telling a story through dance.
