Welcome to the Wah-Nee Summer Camp experience! Our camp is located in the stunning Litchfield County, Connecticut, nestled among the Berkshire Mountains. For 80 years, we have been molding and enriching the lives of young people ages 7-17 in our warm and nurturing family-like atmosphere. Parents can rest assured that by choosing Wah-Nee as their child's summer home-away-from-home, they are making the very best selection. We are proud to say that over 95% of our campers return each year with beaming smiles! We understand the hopes and dreams of your child, and we are committed to doing our best to make them a reality.

Sports Galore
At Wah-Nee, we attract top level participants in every area, including sports. Athletes love playing on well kept courts and fields, which we have in abundance. Our coaches are top-flight, and we can satisfy athletic desires from the most modest beginners up through top players. Our sports program generates great enthusiasm and spirit all over camp. We teach not only skills, but many life lessons of tremendous value. We take great pride in how we conduct ourselves before, during and after every competition, even though we surely play to win. We have so many places to play all your favorite sports--and even some you may not have tried yet! We play to improve skills so we can be the best we can be, but our focus is always on having fun.

Camp Wah-Nee is on magnificent Shadow Lake, and we're stocked with the world's greatest "lake toys"! We feature great sailboats, kayaks & canoes, windsurfers, rowboats, a huge lake trampoline, the giant "Freefall" in-lake climbing tower & slide, a great gizmo called the "Saturn" (trust us--it's outstanding fun!), giant bodyboards, "Magic Carpets" that let you walk on water, noodles, inner tubes, water polo, scuba diving and so much more! We just added new "Bellyaks" that the kids have had a blast with--a new-fangled flat kayak that lets us play lake soccer and other wacky games in our lake!! The water is clean, clear and pristine, and our white sandy beach makes it even more fun! There's always a cool breeze on gorgeous Shadow Lake--perfect on a hot summer's day!

Art Programs
At Wah-Nee you can reach for your artistic dreams and make them come alive in our 3 top-notch Arts areas! In 2011 we opened our expanded, brand new Art Studio, complete with wrap-around porch overlooking magnificent Shadow Lake. It features a new kiln and lots of open space for creating great work. Our kids have a say in what projects they aspire to work on, and our talented team makes it all happen in this great new facility! Our Wood Shop is where the only limit is your own imagination--we can build almost anything there! Finally, we have added an outstanding Fine Arts program that specializes in drawing, painting and work on a variety of creative media. Everyone can try their hand at watercolor, oils, and special fun projects that use inventive techniques. Whatever you do, be prepared to get your hands into your projects, and dazzle the home crowd with masterpieces. We coordinate projects between the Shops. Unlimited creativity and caring Staff makes our 3 Shops all prime destinations for our campers (even those without "fine" skills)—because it’s just fun in there all the time!
