Crystal Theatre is a unique performing arts academy that has been enriching the lives of young artists since 1987. Founded by the Norwalk Parks & Recreation Department by Cheryl and Alexandrea Kemeny, David Jackins and Mariner Pezza, the academy offers rigorous training in all aspects of musical theatre in a nurturing and encouraging environment. A true hidden gem in Norwalk, Crystal Theatre specializes in the use of original musicals written specifically for the organization, providing students with an extraordinary opportunity to perform. Crystal Theatre is committed to providing students with a safe space for learning and growth. Original founders Cheryl and Alexandrea Kemeny, David Jackins and Mariner Pezza saw a need for musical theatre opportunities for children in Norwalk outside of the annual high school musicals. As such, they created Crystal Theatre, an academy open to all students without special audition requirements. With 44 original productions and the expansion of its offerings into community theatre with its new subsidiary, Crystal Community Theatre, Crystal Theatre is an invaluable resource for young artists.

At The Batter’s Box, we are committed to providing a comprehensive baseball and softball training program to players of all age and skill levels. Our 11,000 square foot facility houses 5 batting cages, 3 pitching mounds, a soft toss area and a 7,500 sq ft fielding area. We have been in the business for over 30 years and are well-known for our skilled staff and ability to teach. We focus on more than just the physical side of the game, however. We also emphasize mental focus and proper mechanics, and we strive to instill in our players a strong work ethic. We want our players to understand that swinging the bat at home and working on throwing mechanics is just as important as taking the lessons. We also emphasize the importance of conscientious work in order to help our players succeed.

At Just Dance Studios, we are passionate about introducing the world of dance to children of all ages. Our Spot program is designed to provide an encouraging and inspiring environment in which young dancers can learn and grow. Our classes cover a variety of styles, from jazz and contemporary to hip-hop and ballet, and range from beginner to pre-professional level. We also offer preschool programs that go beyond just teaching dance steps, and focus on proper alignment, terminology, technique, and musicality. The Five Mile River Nursery School is proud to be one of the first nationally accredited preschools in Connecticut and one of the first 17 in the nation. At Five Mile River Nursery School, we offer children the opportunity to learn and grow in a warm and nurturing environment. Our programs, which include 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, and Kindergarten, are based on the Bank Street Method, Creative Curriculum, and Emerging Curriculum, and allow children to explore and develop their own creativity and curiosity. In addition to our regular programs, we also offer extended day enrichment and Summer Camp programs, providing children with a range of activities to foster their self-confidence, curiosity, and love of learning.

Through partnerships with local organizations, JAM Studio offers process-oriented art and music enrichment activities that are tailored to the needs of inner-city youth, children with special needs, and adults with special needs. At JAM, everyone can participate in activities that are tailored to their creative needs. The goal is to provide the community with an opportunity to engage in art and music enrichment activities in a supportive environment. By partnering with local organizations, JAM is able to make these activities available to underserved communities in the greater Norwalk, CT area. Whether it’s inner-city youth or children and adults with special needs, JAM strives to provide the same creative haven for everybody. At JAM, the mission is to foster creativity in a safe and inviting space. From learning music to creating art, JAM provides the opportunity for young and old to hone their craft and share it with the community. Through partnerships with local organizations, JAM Studio is able to reach out to underserved communities in the greater Norwalk, CT area and offer process-oriented art and music enrichment activities specifically tailored for inner-city youth, children, and adults with special needs.
