Our goal is to inspire campers to be lifelong learners and to develop leadership skills that will help them excel in whatever path they choose. At Camp Quest West, we believe that children are capable of so much more than they think they are and that they can make a difference in this world. We provide a fun and engaging environment for campers to explore the sciences, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and become lifelong learners. Through a combination of science, outdoor activities, and community engagement, we strive to empower campers to make the most of life and contribute to their communities.

At Augusta, we are blessed to be able to call a 200-foot-tall old-growth forest our home. On clear summer nights, the majesty of the Milky Way can be seen in the night sky, sparkling above us. This forest is part of the Sierra Nevada Ecoregion, which is known for its diverse temperate conifer forests, the most diverse in the world. At Augusta, we nurture our campers’ creativity and potential. We strive to foster an atmosphere of empathy and emotional intelligence, utilizing intentional speech, compassionate communication, and other well-researched social practices. Our campers are encouraged to act on their creative ideas and explore their potential. Finally, we are privileged to be surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature. We are in awe of the towering old-growth trees, the star-filled night sky, and the diverse temperate conifer forests that make up the Sierra Nevada Ecoregion. We hope that this natural beauty will inspire and nurture our campers’ creativity.

The Ross Relles Optimist Camp now stands as a testament to the extraordinary vision of this remarkable community leader. It provides a safe and fun-filled environment for children to explore and grow, and has been doing so for nearly 60 years. The camp has welcomed thousands of children to its grounds and continues to be a beacon of hope and possibility for kids from all walks of life.

Thanks to the generosity of the Stephen S. Ball estate, The Salvation Army’s Camp Del Oro has a new Conference Center, completed in the summer of 2018. The Center features a gymnasium/multipurpose room and three lodges with 13 rooms apiece. It will help to offset the costs of providing summer camp experiences to children from low-income families by allowing the camp to generate income from businesses and church groups. The new Conference Center at Camp Del Oro is a testament to the generosity of the Stephen S. Ball estate. When finished in the summer of 2018, it provided a new and unique income-generating opportunity for The Salvation Army. With a gymnasium/multipurpose room and three lodges with 13 rooms each, the Center enables the camp to host businesses and church groups, which in turn helps offset the cost of providing summer camp experiences to children from low-income families.

Cedarbrook Camp Southern California offers families a unique opportunity to spend time together in God’s creation and to learn together as a family. We offer an ACA accredited, non-denominational Christian camp located in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains near Big Bear. Our summer ministry is designed to bring individuals and churches closer to Christ through activities, conversations, and events. In addition, we offer fall and spring events for mothers and daughters, as well as a women’s retreat. Campers of all ages will enjoy an unforgettable experience at Cedarbrook Camp Southern California. We have been providing Christian camping opportunities since 1946 as Camp Cherith Southern California and our mission is to continue the legacy of providing a relationship-based Christian camping experience in a safe and supportive environment. Our campers will explore the outdoors, make lasting memories, and learn more about what it means to follow Christ.

Camp Fire Golden Empire is proud to be the Northern California council of Camp Fire USA. Since 1939, we've been engaging youth and teens in developing essential life skills. Our goal is to provide unique experiences to help young people find their voice, connect with nature, and develop a sense of purpose. We strive to create a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment where kids can learn to care for themselves, their environment, and the people around them—just as Luther and Charlotte Gulick envisioned more than a century ago. Camp Fire Golden Empire is dedicated to academic readiness, community building, and empowering youth to develop their own unique potential. We are proud to carry on the legacy of Camp Fire USA, and we strive to provide a strong foundation for the next generation to create lasting impact.
