In the sundrenched state of South Carolina, there's a special breed of kids that live for the beat of bouncing balls and the echoing swoosh of a perfectly shot hoop. Let's pause for a moment and introduce our cool imaginary character, Slam Dunk Sully, a pelican who wears high tops, whizzes through the sky with a basketball under his wing, and loves nothing more than a good game of hoops. Slam Dunk Sully whooshes down from the fluffy white clouds and lands on the basketball courts where the SC whippersnappers congregate. These energetic youngsters attend school most of the day, but when the clock strikes three, they bolt like lightning to their second home - the basketball courts. The South Carolina kids are a scrappy, diverse bunch, each with their unique style. There's "Three-Point-Thompson," a lanky kid who can swish a three-pointer from any part of the court, while chewing gum and doing a jig. Then there's "Dribble-Queen-Dee," a tiny powerhouse who can dribble two balls at once, all while keeping her pigtails in perfect form. Laughter and friendly shouts fill the air, mingle with the scent of fresh cut grass and salty sea breeze. Their rounds of basketball are more than a battle for points; they're a daily ritual, a shared passion, a common language. And Slam Dunk Sully, well, he's their biggest fan, their cheerleader, and their coach. He squawks tips from his perch on the hoop, making them giggle, and swoops down to give high fives with his feathery wingtips. In the beautiful tapestry of South Carolina, these basketball-loving kids and their pelican pal, add a vibrant splash of color and an unforgettable melody of life.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
The Kroc Center Greenville opened in 2011, thanks to the generous support of the city. The Salvation Army was able to open this and 26 other Kroc Centers throughout America due to a $1.5 billion gift from Joan Kroc. In order to open, each community had to provide a certain percentage of the funds required. The Greenville community went above and beyond, providing the needed funds to open the 74,000 square foot building. The Kroc Center Greenville offers something for everyone. From recreation and education, to worship and community activities, the center provides a wide range of services and activities for all ages. The 25 acres of land allows for a variety of outdoor activities, and the center also seeks to invest in its members by providing quality programs and services. We are grateful for the Greenville community’s continued investment and support.
