In addition, a healthy competitive spirit and the opportunity for artistic expression! My dream studio at last!! It has two large 40×40 teaching dance rooms, wood floors, mirrors, etc.! We can have Production Practice at the studio! No more band room! I am so excited! Although, when I moved into my present studio, I thought that was my dream studio, except I wanted larger dance rooms! Now, here it is! We have it all!! Join us! McGovern Irish Dance offers exceptional Irish dance instruction from ages 2 - 102 for adults and children from beginner to championship levels. We strive to develop the self-esteem, confidence, and Irish dance skills of each dancer in a positive nurturing environment where all of our students can reach their full potential. We work to instill a sense of unity and friendship among our students and their families through a variety of Irish cultural events such as the Dayton Celtic Festival, Celtic Fest Ohio, Dayton's A World A'fiar, Troy Festival of National, Global Fest in Lafayette IN and more. Our dancers also have several opportunities to participe in local, national and international dance competitions.

Dayton Contemporary Dance Company was founded in 1968 to create performance opportunities for dancers of color. Five decades later, the 10th largest modern contemporary dance company in the nation remains rooted in the African-American experience and committed to the development of diverse movement artists on the global stage. A co-recipient of one of the dance world’s highest honors, the 2016 Bessie Award for Outstanding Revival, DCDC has been presented by American Dance Festival, Paul Taylor American Modern Dance, and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, and supported by National Endowment for the Arts and New England Foundation for the Arts among others.

We offer a non-competitive environment for students to learn. We utilize positive reinforcement, small class sizes (5-10), and a family oriented environment. Not only do we use classic instruction, but we also use other methods including games to allow the children to have fun while learning.

The Dayton Ballet School is dedicated to giving people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to experience and appreciate the art of dance. Dance classes help create a community of people sharing the same experience and striving for the same goal. We take pride in the fact that many of our students have gone on to become ballet professionals as dancers, costume designers, choreographers and teachers.

Dynamic Praisers and Dance Team is a non profit organization that currently serv students ages 4-18. We provide dance education in all types of dance. DPDT is a dance group designed to help children have a healthy lifestyle through the art of dance. We help to build our student’s self-esteem and encourage them to value their self-worth, while building and bonding beneficial friendships with other students. Our studio promotes an atmosphere for students and parents to have a family oriented experience while participating in all programs, courses, and/or camps.
