At Spring Lake Day Camp, we strive to provide our campers with a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration and adventure. We are an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited camp, which means that our commitment to a standard of care with prudence is one of the highest available in the country. We focus on enhancing self-confidence, developing leadership and communication skills, and providing a positive and beneficial summer experience.
Our outstanding programs offer a wide variety of activities, from team sports and aquatics to creative arts and adventure activities. We believe that the outdoor learning experience of camp encourages healthy risk-taking, and helps to build the emotional IQ and necessary skills for the modern world. We foster sportsmanship, leadership, determination, and cooperation in a supportive and encouraging environment, while offering healthy competition and positive reinforcement to give each camper a sense of personal growth. With our mission in mind, we strive to make each summer at Spring Lake Day Camp a unique, fun, and memorable experience.
At Spring Lake, our Mini Day and Full Day Junior Camp Programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of the young child, many of whom are first time campers. We understand the importance of our parents having a strong sense of trust in us, knowing that their child will be experiencing several firsts – from separation, to riding a bus, to learning how to swim. Our Junior Camp staff members are trained to understand the need for being hands-on counselors, offering warmth, support and encouragement to ensure a positive experience for our youngest campers.

Boys’ Camp 2nd grade through 8th grade
SLDC creates a positive experience for our older boys to grow both socially and developmentally. They gain a strong sense of accomplishment with each skill they learn and improve upon. It is the goal of Boys’ Camp to promote independence, spirit, individual interests, competence and pride, all while having fun in a happy and healthy camp environment. Here is where our boys leave technology at home, and spend their day “gaming” on the soccer and basefield fields, building something new in Woodworking, or climbing to new heights in our Adventure Challenge areas. They experience healthy competition, learn how to work cooperatively with others and explore leadership skills. In addition, our Senior Program for our oldest campers offers trips, community service opportunities, coed activities, a Big Brother Program and more. What great stepping stones to a positive future as a teenager and young adult!
