Autumn D'Esposito is a New Jersey Certified Music Teacher, who has been teaching in the Clifton Public School District for the past nine years. She has performed at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, as well as abroad in Florence, Italy. Autumn graduated from Montclair State University in 2015 with a Music Education degree and a concentration in Voice. Since then, Autumn has continued to hone her skills in music by teaching piano, ukulele, and voice at various music establishments and independently. In addition, she has been teaching music in an early childhood development center for children aged six months to five years. Autumn has also had an internship with the New Jersey Youth Chorus, working with young musicians of all ages from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Her expertise is in teaching beginner/intermediate piano and all different levels of voice. In her classes, she has experience in teaching various genres of music such as pop, classical, musical theater, rock, blues, and rnb. It requires a strong foundation of vocal skills and an understanding of the mechanics of the voice. By learning to produce and sustain legato phrases, a singer can gain agility and flexibility while developing a healthy technique. Achieving a bright-dark timbre or chiaroscuro sound helps to balance the resonances in the voice so it can be projected without strain and sound beautiful. With practice, any singer can perfect their bel canto technique.

Growing up, I always had a deep love for singing, but unfortunately my voice wasn't quite up to the task. I studied with singing teachers from Juilliard, coaches who taught Speech Level Singing, and those who had taught famous Pop/Rock stars, yet I didn't see the results I had been hoping for. After years of researching vocal techniques, I eventually found the teacher and the technique that changed everything. Through the Bel Canto technique, I was able to learn how to build a voice with a series of exercises and gain complete control of my own voice. I have now been teaching this same technique in vocal studios in NYC and New Jersey for over ten years. My students come to me with a range of issues, from pitch to tone to placement and beyond, and I'm proud to have taken many of them from complete beginners to professional singers. The Bel Canto technique has proven to be a miracle for me and many of my students. For those who have suffered vocal abuse, I can also teach them how to heal their abused voice and recover from vocal nodules, cysts, and polyps without the need for surgery. I hope that this same technique will be of great help to you on your own journey!
