Denville Music Academy is a music school that offers students a well-rounded music education which includes classes in theory, musicianship, performance opportunities, one-on-one lessons as well as playing in groups and ensembles. At the Academy, we foster an environment where our students feel excited to create music with others! Our students develop a love for music that becomes innately their own. Students and parents are welcomed into our family-like community with school wide events that occur throughout the year. With high quality education and a dedicated staff, our students learn to succeed in music as well as in life.
Piano has traditionally been the most popular instrument to learn at Denville Music Academy and we have great instructors ready to help you quickly play it! Whether you are interested in learning Mozart sonatas, Bach fugues or that cool synth keyboard part on Rush's "Tom Sawyer", we aim to be the best piano lesson experience in Morris County!
It is ideal if you do have a piano at home before starting lessons, but you can start lessons with our piano teachers by using an electric keyboard to practice on. Most of our students rent or buy small electric keyboards practice on at home.
Guitar at DMA
Our guitar lessons focus on getting you to quickly be able to play your favorite songs or compositions! The guitar instructors at Denville Music Academy are all experienced teachers and performers and can help you with any music style that you are interested in learning.
Taking guitar lessons with an instructor is the quickest way to learn proper techniques, theory, and also can help prevent bad habits from developing. Having a guitar instructor is beneficial in that they can show you in "real time" how a song, lead lick or scale should be played; as other methods of learning can't see if you are playing something correctly or not!
Voice at DMA
Voice lessons at Denville Music Academy reflect our commitment to keeping students fully engaged while presenting all the essential elements of musical success.
Our instructors work on breathing, pitch and music theory incorporating the songs and styles of music their students love - from pop to jazz, classical and beyond - into their lessons while presenting new ideas and covering all the important knowledge and skills along the way.
