The power of the arts is like no other. It has the ability to inspire, to move, to heal and to connect us in ways that words may not. There is a special joy that comes with knowing that you have the opportunity to teach your children the importance of this language from a young age. It is a gift that will stay with them forever and be a part of their lives in the most meaningful of ways. At Garden Street, we strive to give children and their families the chance to explore and express themselves through music, dance, literature and art. We have seen firsthand the incredible impact that this has had on our community, and now that I am raising my own two sons here, I couldn't be more pleased to be part of a community that shares my passion for the arts. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these young artists to grow and develop, and to continue to show our support and appreciation for the parents and caregivers who provide the support and guidance for their children's creativity.

BeAKid
GARDEN STREET DANCE
Our dance classes are designed specifically for the age, level and interest of the individual student. Our classically trained, and certified staff hold degrees from some of the finest schools in the world. They also have performed professionally across the globe. They have performed on Broadway, The Kennedy Center, in STOMP, Phantom of the Opera, The Olympia in Ireland, the Princeton Ballet, and Lincoln Center, to name a few. Some of the well-known artists our staff have worked with are Bono, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Hal Prince, Alicia Keys, Sheryl Crow, Gwen Stefani, and Rihanna. Not only do our instructors have incredible professional experience, and the most impressive performance careers - they love sharing their joy for the Arts with children. They are experts in training our youth, as they nurture the inner artist and help them reach their potential. We are known as the premier Ballet Studio in Hoboken, and recognized for our excellence in all styles of dance, our competition teams, and for our musical theatre department as well. We are the pioneers of Irish Step and Bollywood Dance in the Hoboken Community, and ranked as the top performing arts studio. We have an award winning dance and musical theatre company and integrate our dancers in all types of performance opportunities throughout the year. We offer Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Irish Step, Contemporary, Lyrical, Bollywood, Acro, Song and Dance, and have a full selection of Mommy and Me Classes. We start at 12 months through adults, and specialize in early dance education from beginners to the most advanced dancers.

Piano
We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced private piano lessons for children and adults, typically starting at age 4. We inspire students to learn the piano through traditional and creative techniques that ignite a passion for playing and practicing at home. We incorporate reading music, technique, ear training, and songs into each lesson. You choose the genre and style of music that you desire to learn.

Voice
We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced private vocal lessons for children and adults. We work with the most basic beginners who have never performed in front of an audience before - all beginners welcome! We also have vocal coaches for professional singers, or singers who are pursuing a singing career on any level. We inspire students to learn to sing by using traditional and creative techniques that ignite a passion for singing and practicing at home. We incorporate reading music, sight singing, technique, ear training, music theory, vocal exercises, and learning songs into each lesson. Voice lessons are for everyone, regardless of natural vocal ability. We teach you how to sing correctly, and reach your vocal potential. Ages 5 through adult.
