The Madd Potters' Studio is owned and operated by professional potters, Amanda Leipert and Julie Hickman. We have two locations in Cape May, New Jersey. Our specialty is local handmade pottery and unique artisan gifts from around the country. We teach workshops as well as offer a unique venue for special events at our Cape May Airport Complex location. At the Jersey Cape Dance and Gymnastics Academy we offer a comprehensive curriculum for all ages and levels of experience. Our preschool programs are designed to introduce children to the art of dance and gymnastics in a fun and engaging way. For recreational dancers and gymnasts we offer Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary and Contortion. For those interested in more intensive studies, we also offer advanced classes. At our dance classes, we provide a supportive environment for our students to thrive and feel a sense of pride in their accomplishments. The Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center began in 1987 as Cape May’s original eco-tour operation. What makes the Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center stand out from others is a strong emphasis on science, research, education, and conservation. The operation is family-owned and operated by Captains Matt and Melissa. The American Star offers an unparalleled experience aboard a floating marine Research Center where onboard marine biologists and naturalists give an in-depth narration of both the biological and historical significance of everything occurring right before your eyes. Undergraduate research interns collect data on all of our trips and lead hands-on learning stations. Our passengers become part of the research team on board and through their patronage, support our ongoing research and conservation efforts. The Center for Community Arts is a multicultural education organization whose arts and humanities programs foster creativity, community building, and appreciation for the rich diversity of our world. We run year-round arts programming, coupled with efforts to preserve and communicate Cape May's rich and diverse history.
