To educate our students and society about the benefits of Tae Kwon Do, the sport of kicking and punching. Our program empowers the human spirit of each individual. It is the perfect way to stay mentally and physically healthy at any age and any stage of life. In our school, many families practice Tae Kwon Do together. Tae Kwon Do is a form of unarmed self defense which originated in Korea over 2,000 years ago. Tae Kwon Do’s effectiveness is derived from the development of body flexibility, fluid movements and pure strength. It involves the skilled application of punches, kicks and blocks to bring about the rapid defeat of an opponent. Recently, Tae Kwon Do has gained world-wide popularity for its simple and effective self-defense applications as well as a means of figure and weight control. Many police departments, the armed forces, private security companies and educational institutions have adopted Tae Kwon Do training.
Papermaking and printmaking offer a unique opportunity for communities to come together and build relationships through creative expression. By fostering an environment of understanding and dialogue through these art forms, we can create a shared understanding of each other and foster a sense of belonging. Through papermaking and printmaking, we can bridge divides and create a more socially engaged and connected society. At the heart of socially engaging arts practices is the idea of creating a safe space to explore and express ourselves. By providing a platform for dialogue and mutual understanding, we can create a more cohesive community. Through papermaking and printmaking, we can promote collaboration, empathy, and trust, while also celebrating our unique perspectives and experiences. The power of papermaking and printmaking lies in its ability to help us connect to one another. By engaging in socially engaging arts practices rooted in these forms, we can build bridges between communities and help foster a sense of belonging. Spaces are still available in Raritan Valley Community College's online and in-person summer programs for children and teens. The one-week programs are held Monday-Friday. The programs are being offered by RVCC in Branchburg in partnership with Black Rocket and Little Medical School.
