We offer a unique blend of traditional summer camp activities and environmental education to help kids increase their appreciation for nature, science, and the environment. Our 132 acres of rolling hills, wooded areas, fields, hiking trails, lakes, creeks, and shaded spaces provide an ideal backdrop for a variety of exciting activities, from swimming and canoeing to archery and rock climbing.

YMCA Camp Harrison at Herring Ridge provides an idyllic escape from the hustle of everyday life. Nestled in the Brushy Mountains of North Carolina, the camp offers more than 2,000 acres of beautiful wooded terrain and streams, complete with a private 140-acre lake. Campers can select from over 21 land activities such as archery, paintball, and ropes courses, and partake in water sports like kayaking and waterskiing. 

For a truly personalized experience, Camp Harrison offers adventure tracks with activities tailored to each individual camper. These activities range from the Dude Ranch to Sportsman to Vet Camp, and more. Mom & Me is a special option for mothers and their children to explore the outdoors together. Beyond the Ridge Teen Leadership focuses on building leadership skills, while Farm to Feast teaches campers about sustainability. The “Blob” and the “Wet Willie” are two popular water activities that will have campers of all ages screaming with delight.

At Camp Lakey Gap, we provide a week-long residential camp for people with autism. Our experienced staff is trained to incorporate evidence-based strategies for supporting people with autism into all elements of our program. We understand that everyone has unique patterns of strengths and needs, and our goal is to help campers and staff to learn to understand each other and themselves. We are proud to be a part of our campers' and staffs' journeys and to have had a positive impact on their lives.

At Ridgecrest Summer Camps, we strive to create an atmosphere of adventure and spiritual growth. We believe that boys and girls of all ages are looking to embark on a journey that can take them outside of what they know and open their eyes to the world. Camp Willow Run is located on Lake Gaston in northeastern North Carolina, providing a breathtaking backdrop for a unique Christian camp experience. Campers can stay in actual boxcars that have been converted into heated and air-conditioned dormitories, as well as an authentic 1911 steam engine and caboose. The camp's three-fold purpose is to win youth to Christ, help mature those who are already Christians, and demonstrate that you can be a Christian and have fun. From Bible study and devotions to music and personal interaction, Camp Willow Run is the ideal place for kids to learn and grow in their faith in a safe, fun environment.

Our campers learn to appreciate nature and gain self-confidence as they venture off on outdoor adventures. Camp Illahee has been a place of growth and discovery since 1921, when Hinton and Francis McLeod established a unique environment for young women to thrive.  The camp’s commitment to its campers is stronger than ever, with its current directors, Gordon and Laurie Strayhorn, continuing the legacy of the McLeods.  Camp Illahee’s focus is always on the campers, and the Strayhorns are dedicated to making sure each camper feels recognized and heard.  With their individual attention and commitment to the campers, the Strayhorns are helping to ensure that Camp Illahee will remain a place of growth and discovery for many years to come.

We offer a wide range of classes, summer sessions, and camps to accommodate all levels. Our facility is conveniently located at 13601 Providence Road, Weddington, NC 28104. 

Southeastern Gymnastics is always looking for ways to expand and serve more gymnasts. We are currently running short of space, but are committed to finding ways to offer more gymnastics opportunities. We are excited to see what the future holds!

At Water Oak Aikikai, parents and their children will find a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Located in the woods of Weddington, North Carolina, the dojo offers an intimate and traditional setting. Conveniently located just minutes from Providence Road and I-485, the 40-tatami training space provides enough clearance for virtually any weapons training. 

The dojo was established in 2003 when William McLuskie had the opportunity to host Yamada Sensei for a seminar in Charlotte. Yamada Sensei gave him the instruction to "open a school and start teaching students", and thus Water Oak Aikikai was born. Now, this dojo offers a safe and positive environment for parents and their children to learn the art of Aikido.
