Marla Roberson is a remarkable dance teacher and director with an impressive resume. She has been involved in dance since the age of four, and has performed on the stage at Disney World, as well as choreographing dance troupes that have won high honors. With over 17 years of experience, Marla has studied at a variety of dance schools throughout the Southeast Coast, mastering techniques in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, clogging, and hip hop. In 2013, Marla took the plunge and became the owner/director of Just for Kicks, Inc. in Hampstead. Prior to this, she had taught for 5,6,7,8 Dance in Wilmington, NC, Happy Feet Dance in San Pedro, CA, and Just for Kicks, Inc. in Hampstead. As an incredibly accomplished dancer, teacher and director, Marla Roberson has been inspiring her students for years. She has dedicated her life to the art of dance and is eager to continue sharing her knowledge and passion with others.

At our gym, we take coaching seriously. Our coaches are highly trained and experienced, going through extensive training and assistant coaching before they lead their own classes. Each month, we have meetings to further develop their coaching skills and drills. We also make sure to keep our registration process open and available all year round, so you can enroll your child whenever you're ready! For parents, we also have a viewing area where you can observe your child's class. In light of the current COVID19 situation, we ask that you limit your viewing time to help keep everyone safe.

Upscale Athletics was established in 2013 and began as one of Mooresville, NC's premier sports organizations. In 2015, the business relocated to Denver, NC and has since become a valued member of the community. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Upscale Athletics had to close its facility and transition to privates, small groups and virtual coaching consultation in August 2020. Tamil Jones, the owner and founder of Upscale Athletics LLC, has over 30 years of experience in the gymnastics industry, and is also a Registered RBT who helps children with Autism.
