The Connick School of Irish Dance is a proud member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America (IDTANA), and the World Irish Dance Association (IDA). As such, we adhere to the highest standards of Irish Dance instruction and competition stipulated by both organizations. Parents can rest assured that their children are in capable and experienced hands at the Connick School of Irish Dance. Founded in 1994, the school has seen tremendous success and growth. It is now under the direction of Stacie Greiner, TCRG, a native of Milford, Pennsylvania. Stacie has been teaching Irish Dance for decades and she, alongside her team of experienced teachers, is devoted to each dancer and family. With five locations across the Carolinas, the Connick School has helped over 400 students of all ages discover and explore the rich cultural foundation of Irish Dance. Not only has the school included regional, national, and international competitions, but they have also adhered to the highest standards of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America and the World Irish Dance Association.
At the helm of DancinKids is Tracy Self, a dancing veteran of over two decades. She began teaching at the tender age of 17, and has since become an expert in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern/contemporary, and hip-hop. Tracy is also a 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte with a BS in Psychology/Biology and has also attended Governer's School for Dance as well as several workshops/conventions including Tremaine. DancinKids is a friendly place that caters to all levels of dancers. We offer recreational classes in a comfortable and relaxed environment for those looking to learn the basics of dance.
