The Mitten Munchkins, armed with their trusty magnifying glasses and wild imaginations, traverse from Detroit’s bustling urban jungle to the serene beauty of the Upper Peninsula. Each Munchkin has a heart filled with pure Michigander grit and a rucksack full of unbeatable enthusiasm for discovery. When they're not trying to figure out if Mackinaw Island fudge can be used as a viable fuel source for their jetpacks, they're busy tracking down the elusive Jackalope in the forests of Kalamazoo. With Sir Squirrelly leading the way, every day is filled with laughter, learning, and a touch of the unexpected. Our activities are designed to help campers foster a sense of responsibility and develop their critical thinking skills. Lions Bear Lake Camp is dedicated to providing premier outdoor educational and recreational experiences to all persons, regardless of ability. We offer a variety of activities including swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, archery, arts and crafts, and team building. Our campers have the opportunity to explore nature while learning about wildlife conservation, environmental stewardship, and outdoor safety. We also host special events and activities throughout the year, such as overnight camping trips and field trips into some of Michigan’s most beautiful parks and forests.
