Designed to encourage physical and mental growth, the program is committed to being a “living example” of what outdoor play should look like. Through the use of natural materials, creative problem-solving, and imaginative play, children can discover the joy of getting outdoors and engaging in activities that build confidence and resilience. At TimberNook, the goal is to inspire children to explore their environment and discover their own capabilities. The program encourages physical movement and exploration, and provides a safe place to practice risk-taking and foster independence. Children can use their imaginations to come up with creative solutions to problems, build their self-esteem, and learn to take healthy risks. With TimberNook, outdoor play can become an opportunity for children to develop motor skills, foster creativity, and gain a sense of self-confidence.

With 68 years of dancing experience, we are proud to provide some of the best instructional dance classes in Southern Maine. We specialize in Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tumbling/Acro, Musical Theatre, Ballet/Tap Combo, Creative Movement, and Pointe. At the Dance Studio of Maine, we keep the size of our classes limited, and we group them by age and ability. The Parks & Recreation Department offers recreation opportunities for people of all ages, all year round. At the Centre of Movement School of Performing Arts, students of all ages will find the opportunity to explore their creativity in a safe and nurturing environment. With a history of 39 years, the centre serves Portland, Westbrook, Gorham, Standish and Limington, Maine, and has earned a reputation for providing quality education and joy of the arts to its surrounding communities. Classes are available for students ages 3 to 93, with levels ranging from beginner to professional. The Centre of Movement School of Performing Arts offers instruction in the performing arts under the direction of veteran dancer/actress Victoria “Vic” Lloyd. Students can choose from a wide variety of subjects in dance and theatre such as ballet, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, gymnastics, drumming, musical comedy, and more. The classes are designed to foster the development of sound technical skills, expand creativity, and build self-confidence and true appreciation for the performing arts. With its experienced and passionate staff, the Centre provides a unique and enjoyable learning experience for the whole family.

Nestled in the rolling country-side of Gorham, Maine, Vienna Farm is a comprehensive equestrian center that has been providing horse and rider training since 1984. With 82 acres of woodlands, fields, and pastures, Vienna Farm is a picturesque setting for the equestrian-minded. The farm specializes in dressage, and offers riding lessons for any skill level. The farm is conveniently located just south of Sebago Lake, and is within a short drive from Portland, Maine’s largest city. Visitors are encouraged to stop by, meet the experienced instructors and trainers, and take in the beauty of the farm.
