About Dance Studio of Maine, Inc.

Welcome to the Dance Studio of Maine! We provide your children with an enjoyable and creative dancing experience while also offering them solid technical training. Our classes are designed for all levels of ability and ages, and our staff will ensure your little one has the best possible learning experience. With 68 years of dancing experience, we are proud to provide some of the best instructional dance classes in Southern Maine. We specialize in Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tumbling/Acro, Musical Theatre, Ballet/Tap Combo, Creative Movement, and Pointe. At the Dance Studio of Maine, we keep the size of our classes limited, and we group them by age and ability. We invite you to come and visit us in Gorham at 6 School Street to take a look at our facilities. We look forward to having you join us in celebrating a lifetime of dancer education!

Tiny Tots AGES 2.5-3
Move, play and explore basic movement in our Tiny Tots class. Class helps develop basic motor skills while playing and having fun!

Preschool Program AGES 4-5
These classes will introduce ballet, jazz, tap or hip hop basics depending on which combo class you choose. This class inspires young dancers to express themselves through movement. Movement is introduced, and has the students apply imagination, energy and coordination. Focus on form and technique is part of the curriculum along with allowing young children to enjoy dance and self-expression.

Kinderdance AGES 5-6
The fun doesn’t stop as you grow up! Kinder classes are your chance to pick a speciality (or two or three!) They are ready to dive into the footwork of tap, the beauty of ballet, the sass of jazz or the energy of hip hop. Skills will become more genre specific, and the combo class give you a chance to try a couple! Dance your kinder hearts out!
