We’ve been around for more than 10 years, and have managed to stay afloat even throughout the pandemic. Our team has worked hard to adjust to the ever-changing circumstances and to continue providing a safe and creative space for people of all ages. Leone Simkins founded The Dancing School (TDS) in 1976 with the goal of providing North Reading with a top-notch dance studio. For 40 years, we have been considered one of the best dance studios in the area. We believe that dance is not only a form of personal training, but also an inspiration for grace, coordination, health, confidence, and art education. We understand the importance of making a child’s first experience with dance a positive and lasting one, so we strive to foster creativity in our classes through engaging and creative teaching methods. At TDS, we offer a variety of dance classes for students ages 2 to 18. We want our students to not only learn and love several styles of dance, but also to gain a strong sense of self-confidence and appreciation for the art. We are proud to have so many of our students with us since they were in preschool, as well as to be seen as a family by our students and their families. Most importantly, we want all of our students to enjoy coming to class and to learn far more than just dance steps.

At Hilltop Nursery School, there’s something for everyone! Our hours are 9am to 12pm, Monday through Friday, giving children ample time to explore and learn. The daily schedule is flexible to accommodate special activities, like school-wide enrichment programs throughout the year. Kids get the chance to feel successful and relaxed, with no time pressures. This year, we’re running under new safety guidelines issued by the Dept of Early Education and Care. Our regular program is still available, so children can keep growing and learning in a safe environment. Hilltop Nursery School is the perfect place for your child to explore and learn! Our 9am to 12pm schedule Monday to Friday, gives children the chance to do just that. We adapt our daily schedule to include special activities such as school-wide enrichment programs throughout the year. We also make sure that kids have enough time to transition between activities, so they don’t feel rushed. Due to new health and safety guidelines, we’re operating on a revised schedule this year. But don’t worry; our regular program is still running, so your child can keep growing and learning in a safe environment.

Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the country, and Challenger is proud to offer this disc golf clinic for kids! During the clinic, kids will learn the rules of the game, develop their scorekeeping skills, and have the opportunity to practice their new knowledge on a simulated course. Byrne's Karate Studio, founded in 1976 by Grandmaster Richard Byrne, is a martial arts school focusing on street practical self defense with the traditional martial art style of Tang Soo Do. Tang Soo Do (Korean karate) is an ancient martial art originating over 2,000 years ago and is one of the oldest forms for karate practiced around the world today. Tang Soo Do is known as a traditional martial art noted by most experts as a self defensive combat style with street practical application and whose current status has been achieved through many decades of refining and improving its techniques.
