About The Dancing School
Leone Simkins founded The Dancing School (TDS) in 1976 with the goal of providing North Reading with a top-notch dance studio. For 40 years, we have been considered one of the best dance studios in the area. We believe that dance is not only a form of personal training, but also an inspiration for grace, coordination, health, confidence, and art education. We understand the importance of making a child’s first experience with dance a positive and lasting one, so we strive to foster creativity in our classes through engaging and creative teaching methods. At TDS, we offer a variety of dance classes for students ages 2 to 18. We want our students to not only learn and love several styles of dance, but also to gain a strong sense of self-confidence and appreciation for the art. We are proud to have so many of our students with us since they were in preschool, as well as to be seen as a family by our students and their families. Most importantly, we want all of our students to enjoy coming to class and to learn far more than just dance steps.
